The Move

I have to say that I'm thankful for not being incorporated in a military family because this one move is enough. I was born in North Carolina and since then have moved 5 times not including the most recent one I've gone through making it six. However I only vaguely remember living in any other location then my last.

We moved from one state to another with this last move and it's been rough. Don't get me wrong I've made new friends and found some benefits to moving, but I won't sugar coat the fact that I miss my friends that I've grown up with and the house I grew up in. My favorite cat is buried in the yard of that house, and my sister's hand print is cemented in next to mine in the backyard as well. I've had a lot of parties and fun times in that house and I still find myself sad from time to time that we had to leave the house and so many wonderful people behind.

I'm happy that I was able to have a party with the whole posy before I moved!!!

I'm looking at the bright side though, the sunsets are beautiful, visits from family members are nice (except for the bitter sweet goodbyes of course), and I've met some pretty cool new friends :)

  1. That was going to be my advice. Learn from it. I was 13 when my parents made a move that upset me greatly. I didn't learn from it until much later. You are very wise in your youth. Blessings.
