Throughout my blog you'll discover that I love poetry. Writing it, reading it and taking it in. So of course when my teacher tells us we will be writing one, topic of our choice, I get a little excited.

Rules - 10 syllables per line and a "ababcdcdefefgg" writing pattern aka a sonnet.

It takes being the jinxed or an outcast
To understand what hiding in plain sight
Means, even with Sun there is an overcast.
Why is his own opinion never right?
No one cares until you've rounded third-base
Or you’re dying, wait why are they crying?
How many more ugly words will we have to take?
Course those words hurt, what were you implying
Words of warning we couldn't have been primed
Bullying shouldn't be used for others' clarity
So next time before you speak keep in mind
A bullet is cheaper than therapy,
Remember don't blame the shaken finger,
It's always the thought behind the trigger.

Some of my friends said this made them cry and others didn't know what I meant. I think now a days people tend to over-analyze too much or try too hard to understand poetry. On that note I'll let you all decide for yourselves what this poem means.

Hope all is well,

Another Move

Buenos Dias everyone and Happy Spring!

“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind." ||Job 12:7-10||

I'm sorry I haven't been active lately there has been a lot going on. In the course of 1 1/2 years I've now lived in three different places, our most recent just happening this week to North Carolina. I'm not going to lie it's beautiful here and while I miss my friends back in my last town and the one before that I truly believe God has a plan.
People are a lot nicer in the south then up north. Everyone waves to you here or shoots you a smile. Up north people put their heads down and walk, always busy. You will always have your busy bodies, that's what makes the world go round, but here everyone seems to step back a bit taking time to acknowledge your existence and sometimes even strike up a conversation with you. It amazes me how different the world is a few states away. Aside from the South's pretty souls and southern hospitality the nature provided at my current house is breathtaking. We have trees over 200 feet tall and our own pond (that came with complimentary ducks ;). Dogwood petals and pine cones are all over the place. the sounds of locust and birds and crickets and squirrels all come together to form this kind of calming symphony that helps clear my mind.

Another part of moving is changing schools. I don't start till tomorrow or Thursday but  Kathleen starts today. I know she'll do well shes a little social butterfly.

A Poem a Day Keeps the Gloom Away

>> There are men
that fall in love with war.
And there are writers
that fall in love with the battle
of what we know
      and how we feel. <<
